Anya and Zoya shine as Chess Winners at the 65th National School Games, 2020

Our Greenwoodites, Anya Seth Syed and Zoya Nizar from Grade 9 have made the school and their parents proud. They represented Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi (CISCE) under the aegis of School Games Federation of India (SGFI) on the 65th National School Games for Chess Under-17 Girls Category.

Their hard work, determination and training has paid rich dividends where Anya won 1 Gold medal and 1 Silver medal and is awarded a token sincere appreciation with a sum of INR 28,000.Zoya, who won 1 Silver medal is also awarded a sum of INR 8,000.

The CISCE lauds their outstanding performance and commendable success to both the children from Greenwood High International School, Sarjapur Campus. They said, “It’s an inspiration and great motivating factor to all future aspirants and participants from our CISCE schools.”

We are proud of our Chess Faculty, Mr. Somanath, who tirelessly train and guide our children to achieve more. And we congratulate again to Anya Syed Seth and Zoya Nizar for this great achievement!
