Karnataka Inter Club Martial Arts Tournament

The Kou Shu Kung-Fu Federation of India held the Black-Belt Grading ceremony and Karnataka Inter Club Martial Arts Tournament on 30th November.

Shlok Kumar Sahu of Grade 3 from Greenwood High achieved his Black Belt in the occasion. He also won a Silver Medal in Double Nun-Chacku and a Bronze Medal in Sparring events respectively.

Kung-Fu stands for ‘Excellence through Effort’. Shlok has been practicing Kung-Fu since he was 4 years old. The 5 fingers of the Kung-Fu fist represent the following:

• Be respectful to your teachers
• Be loyal to your country
• Be obedient to your parents
• Be faithful to your friends
• Be in self-control
