Greenwood High International School won the Inter School Chess Tournament conducted by Rainbow Club kidz library and Universal Chess Academy on 15th and 16th August 2015 at Government Girls PU College, Malleshwaram, Bangalore. Greenwood High won the Overall School Championship Title and also won the Category 1 and Category 3 School Trophies also. More than 300 children from different schools took part in this event.
Apart from winning the Oveall School Championship and Category School Trophies , Greenwood High Students won many individual Prizes also.
Reetish padhi (Grade 9 D) scored 7 points from 8 rounds and got First place in the Category 3. Ithal Rajat of Sri Kumarans secured 2nd place and Vibhu Reddy of Vidyashilp Academy secured 3rd Place.
Adya Singh (Grade 9 D) Scored 6 Points and secured 2nd Place in Girls section of Category 3. Sahana Sivaramakrishnan (Grade 8 E) who also scored 6 points secured 3rd Place.
Pragy Narayan (Grade 2 A) scored 7 points from 8 rounds and secured 2nd place in category 1.
Aashi Agarwal 9 ( Grade 4 A) scored 6 points and secured 2nd place in the Girls Section of Category 1. Anya Syed Seth ( Grade 4 A) also scored 6 points and based on tie break score secured 3rd place. Zoya Nizar ( Grade 4 A) scored 5.5 points and secured 5th place and Prachi Dayal (4 I) scored 5 points and secured 6th Place.
Greenwood High Won Best School Trophy for encouraging Chess at the TBSA Chess Tournament held at Oakridge International School on 16th August 2015.
Saket Singh(Grade 2) won 2nd runner Up place in the Under-8 Category tournament conducted by TBSA on 16th August 2015.

Reetish Padhi (Grade 9 D) of Greenwood High International School won the State Sub Junior(Under-15) Chess Championship held from 6th August 2015 to 9th August 2015 at Hubli. The tournament was conducted by Dharwad District Chess Association and Rotary Club of Hubli .
Reetish Scored 7 points from 9 Rounds and Secured the 2nd Place. Sharan of Mangalore secured the first Place.
Reetish padhi has qualified to represent the Karnataka State in the National Sub Junior(Under-15) Chess Championship which will be held at Jammu in September 2015.
Aahan Sarin ( KG 2 ) , represented Greenwood High for Maars Pre School Spell Bee Competition in the LKG Category , at the all India National level and has secured 8th Rank as a winner.
The event was on August 2nd 2015 in Mumbai at the Pawar Public School . .
Earlier Aahan had received 3rd rank in the Bangalore interschool level and 4th Rank in all over Karnataka level.
There were 468 students qualified from state level to National level from Karnataka and many more from other states .
